Atlay was admitted to the bar and found his way into legal practice with a bolt-and-string specialty in tax compliance and litigation. He has represented clients in the Tax Board and Tax Appeals Tribunal and has strong expertise in general commercial litigation. He holds a Bachelor of Laws and Sharia (LLB) from Zanzibar University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal practices. He has also advised on matters requiring Alternative Dispute Resolutions, Pre-Arbitration steps, and enforcement of arbitral awards both foreign and domestic.
